One of Golf's most forgotten fundamentals, yet one of the most important.
How a golfer sets up to the ball, often dictates the result of the shot, even before the club swings away.
A proper setup begins by standing tall, with a straight back, and bending from the hips with minimal knee flex. Letting your arms hang naturally will give you the proper distance from the ball. Widen the feet to about shoulder width, and position the ball off the left side of the face for irons, and off the left heel for woods.
Keep your weight evenly balanced for all shots. To be consistent, you need to remain in balance throughout the entire swing. So before you go out and spend $600 on a new driver trying to fix your game, check your setup first. It may be the simple solution to your problems.
