Putting Drill - November 2007
|
Practice your putting using a chalk line
This is an easy putting drill that will help you lower your scores and make more putts from 10 feet and in.
1. Purchase a chalk line at any hardware store.
2. Try to find a straight putt on the putting green, preferably a little uphill.
3. Once you have found a straight putt, use a tee to secure one end of the chalk line in the ground on the far side of the cup. Stretch the line out about 10 feet and hold it as taught as possible and "snap" it 2 or 3 times, until there is a perfect line right at the hole.
4. Keep your putter head centered on the line and stroke the putt while trying to keep the ball on the line the whole time.
5. While putting, try and make sure that your toe line is parallel to the chalk line, along with your hips and shoulders.
If you would like to work on your putting or golf swing, contact our shop at (858) 481-0363 to schedule a lesson with Adam.
