Teaching Philosophy

"Since I started teaching golf in 1977, with my background in education as well as participating on the LPGA tour, I have concluded that the key to being an effective teacher is to teach the individual. Golf is the medium."

"Each of us is unique with our own learning styles and athletic backgrounds. We possess physical assets and limitations. It is my goal to help facilitate the learning process for my students to discover their best game mechanically and mentally. The two are very much intertwined."

"I believe simple is better! The old adage that 20% change can create 80% improvement is my motto."

"I believe people receive lessons so that they will know specifically what to practice to reach their personal goals. My students learn very early on what they do well and what they will need to improve."
